Good Morning! We hope you are enjoying your summer break. Our offices will be open this week through Thursday until 3:45pm. Schedule Review will be August 1st for 6th graders and August 2nd for 7th/8th graders. On August 1st, 6th graders with last names, A-M, can pick up their schedule @ 9am. At 12:30pm, 6th graders with last names N-Z can pick up their schedule. On August 2nd, 8th graders can review their schedules at 9am and 7th graders at 11am. All students can take their ID tag picture on scedule review day. Students should wear a red or white polo style uniform shirt. Hair color (natural) and style (not cover the eyes) should meet the school board dress code expectations posted in the student/parent handbook for their ID tag picture. On Saturday June 8th, Mr. Byron Robichaux was awarded the American Legion Educator of the Year award at its annual Convention in Alexandria, LA. He was nominated by Golden Meadow Middle School to the local Galliano Post. His nomination was reviewed and awarded the Regional nominee which was then selected at the state level to be named American Legion State Educator of the Year.
On July 18 from 10 am to 12 pm, the football and volleyball coaches will be in the auditorium to meet with parents and complete the mandatory paperwork to try out for fall sports. Please see the attached letters.
The new supply list are attached. The art supply list is now attached, but since we can not guarantee that everyone who wants art will be scheduled in art, I would strongly advise that you wait to buy art supplies in August. By mid July, I should have a clearer picture of who is in art. I will commit to doing a call home so that you can shop for art supplies.
