School Announcements

  • Fund Raiser Begins Today!

    Our fund raising goal this school year is to buy 2 carts with chrome books. This would allow us to be one to one on devices for instruction and state testing. Our goal is to shorten the number of days for state testing by having enough devices for all 409 students to test at one time. We begin our first fund raising opportunity today. Please help GMMS reach this goal by ordering from the brochure. The deadline is September 24.

    We are still a nut free  and seafood free school campus as long as we have students with severe allergies. I ask that you do not send studets with snacks with nuts nor seafood. We will do our best to keep GMMS a safe and healthy campus.

  • Schedule Review August 1st and 2nd

    Good Morning! We hope you are enjoying your summer break. Our offices will be open this week through Thursday until 3:45pm. Schedule Review will be August 1st for 6th graders and August 2nd for 7th/8th graders. On August 1st, 6th graders with last names, A-M, can pick up their schedule @ 9am. At 12:30pm, 6th graders with last names N-Z can pick up their schedule. On August 2nd, 8th graders can review their schedules at 9am and 7th graders at 11am. All students can take their ID tag picture on scedule review day. Students should wear a red or white polo style uniform shirt. Hair color (natural) and style (not cover the eyes) should meet the school board dress code expectations posted in the student/parent handbook for their ID tag picture. For any questions, call 475-7314.

New: Parent Guidance for the Spring LEAP 2025 Tests

The Department released today two new parent guides to help parents better understand what students should know and be able to do on the spring LEAP 2025 assessments.
●        Parent Guide to the LEAP 2025 Tests: guidance for parents on what tests their child will take, when and how they can support their preparation at home
●        Parent Guide to the LEAP 2025 Practice Tests: guidance for parents on how to access both online and paper practice tests
 
Both documents are available in the Family Support Toolbox and will be translated in Spanish, Arabic, and Vietnamese and available by next week.

School Performance Score-Top Gains Honoree:
